Climate Action Plan
As a Catholic school, climate action is a vital expression of our faith and values. Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’ calls us to care for our common home, reminding us that creation is a gift from God entrusted to humanity. Our mission—“Strengthened by Jesus Christ and guided by the Holy Spirit, our Catholic school serves to support our young people to grow in faith and knowledge”—inspires us to act with courage and hope. When we face the challenges of climate change, we hold fast to the words of Scripture: “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). This promise assures us that, with Christ’s strength, we can make a real difference.
Climate change disproportionately affects the poor and vulnerable, challenging us to uphold the principle of the Common Good. By reducing waste, conserving energy, and embedding ecological education into our curriculum, we teach that caring for creation is an act of love for God and neighbour. In doing so, we form confident, resilient, and aspirational young people who contribute and serve with kindness in our global community. Climate action is not optional—it is a moral responsibility and a living witness to our faith.
